Why SOLS is the Best Swim school for you!
Are you looking for the best swim school for you and your children? Not all group classes are the same; we do it differently!
We are a swim school that is all about our students. SOLS has structured its classes differently compared to traditional swim schools. Our boutique swim school has uniquely structured its classes and curriculum. When planning our programs, we always think about our students’ needs first. Our goals are to maximise practice time and allow students to receive more individual attention from their teachers.
How we do things Differently
Have you noticed some traditional swim schools cramming between 5 – 10 students in their learn to swim program? With one teacher dedicated to teaching so many students, the safety considerations are enormous; this is why most students have to ‘wait their turn’, wasting valuable lesson time, not to mention the lack of individual attention. In a class of 5 students, a traditional swim school can offer each student approximately 5 minutes of attention in a standard 30 min class. Terrifying huh? Do you consider yourself receiving value for money in your current swim school?
Our unique class structure for our learn to swim group classes has a maximum of 3 students per lesson. Our small class sizes allow each student approximately 10 minutes of individual attention; this is double that of a traditional swim school. A maximum of three students per class means all students can practice skills simultaneously where safe to do so; this means students are not left ‘waiting for their turn’. Having such a small number of students per class means we can significantly focus on safety and actively supervise all students.
How we manage your childs progression
Our specialised curriculum ensures that your child is learning in the progressive sequence. The sequence that we use to teach is simple, allowing skills to be broken down significantly for overall faster learning. Our three foundation levels are named so that you can understand the skills that we are teaching your child.
- Bubblers: Simply, students are learning to blow bubbles and learn about breath control. By the time students complete this level, they will be blowing bubbles in all situations when submerged.
- Gliders: Bubbles are still focused on within this level while adding gliding and body position activities. At this level, we expect that your children will be experiencing what it feels like to swim independently through the water.
- Kickers: Now that your child is blowing bubbles and understands body position and how to manoeuvre their body in the water, it’s time for them to learn how to propel themself correctly. Having the right kick does not always come naturally; placing a significant focus on this skill allows our students to develop powerful propulsion quickly.
We have many unique ways at SOLS; above, we have just spoken of a handful. We are a 5-star swim school that stands out from the crowd.
